A Sustainable Sanctuary in the Making.
The natural environment is not only our inspiration, it’s our responsibility. Eco-efficiency has always been at the heart of St Clair’s design, from the thousands of specially selected trees and shrubs, to the pedestrian friendly street plan.
St Clair will be Adelaide’s first large scale, inner metropolitan “water-wise” residential address, with aquifers creating an evergreen landscape and waterways fed by the Torrens River, St Clair is leading by example in water conservation and environmental responsibility.
St Clair will take an innovative approach to sustainable development including stormwater systems, lagoons and waterways, allowing rainwater catchment, treatment and re-use within parklands and street gardens.
Working with the City of Charles Sturt we’re reducing the amount of greenhouse gas emissions through sustainable street lighting on the avenues of St Clair. 42 Watt Compact Fluorescent Lamps use less than half the energy of standard 80W Mercury Vapour Lamps for a similar amount of light. While eliminating the risks of Mercury, St Clair will be the first new residential development in South Australia to use environmental lighting throughout the development.
And the wetlands, educational biodiversity corridors and eco-sensitive planting all underpin our commitment to the environment. After all, it’s what makes St Clair so naturally special.
