Community Infrastructure and Amenities at St Clair Now Complete

Nine kilometres of new roads, 22 hectares of reserves and sporting ovals, 3 playgrounds, 2,500 trees and 9.2 kilometres of walking and cycling paths are amongst the community infrastructure and amenities created at St Clair, with developers AVJennings completing all civil works this week.

It’s nine years since work on the St Clair development began, and more than $50 million has been spent on community facilities and amenities including a new multi-million dollar Town Centre and a new $2.5 million sporting oval.

At the heart of St Clair is one of South Australia’s largest urban wetlands, which provides connection to a network of landscaped gardens, walking and cycling trails, playing fields, green open spaces.

Completion of the 5.64 hectares of wetland has seen the establishment of more than 200,000 aquatic plants, with around 500 Olympic swimming pools of water (1.2 gigalitres) collected, stored and recycled every year.

St Clair is now home to more than 2,000 residents, with a further 1,000 residents to be living in the new suburb upon completion.

With all the infrastructure and community amenities complete, AVJennings has released the final land lots at St Clair onto the market, with the release of more pre-planned townhouse precincts to continue over the next few years.

Full completion of all homes at St Clair is expected in 2021.

The final land lots at St Clair have been released to the market which marks a major milestone for our new suburb – now home to more than 2,000 residents.

The first land release at St Clair took place on October 25, 2008 with the first 25 lots selling in a single day.

The final staged land release at St Clair, aptly titled The Silks Release, is located off Hill Smith Boulevard. It comprises 38 lots ranging in size from 280m2 to 463m2, with prices starting from $299,000. Lot frontages range from 10 – 15 metres and suit a variety of homes.

AVJennings State Manager, Brian Virgo, says St Clair is now a mature community with new residents benefiting immediately from established infrastructure and amenities.

“Completing the civil works, including 9 kilometres of road network and two new dedicated junctions or entry points into the suburb, is a major milestone,” explains Mr Virgo.
